There is nothing nicer in my opinion, than one of those dreary grey skied cold winter days. A cold wind blowing with a cold tang to the air, just crisp enough to make your arm hair stand on end!
The best place to be on these days is on your most comfortable chair, with blanket over you, the fire going, a nice hot cup of earl grey tea and a packet of your favourite biscuits to dunk! OH, it makes me feel all tingly inside thinking about it. While you are doing this you could be watching a good movie or you could have that book that you have been wanting to read but haven't been able to as you've needed to do outside chores in your spare time. Opening the book, smelling the paper, rubbing your finger down the binding to crease the cover open, the suspense as you get excited to read it! My favourite books to read are whodunits. I love the thrill of reading a good book where the author has carefully created the story with twists, turns and clues thrown in make for an intense read. A good book is one where I get annoyed at having to let the dog out or the phone going disrupting me and I have to put the book down for a few minutes, missing out on valuable time as I am grappling with the storyline. I’d love to hear what you like to do on cold winter days, and what your favourite genre of book is to read. Feel free to post a comment below! Take care and keep warm Christopher
